It is possible to select set up the preferences for the DB plugin, just by following the menu 'File/Preferences' and selecting DB:

From here, you can select the number of seconds to wait for a connection or response with the server or the path to store the packet log file. You can sort the databases in numeric order and you can decide if you want to display the 'show password' checkbox button in the 'connection' dialog box:

Selecting the Storage tab, will allow you to select the resolution of the 'Previews' and to set the duplicate records and Items policy (Ask or Add). Unchecking the 'Show Data Dialogs' will disable the pop-up windows (to introduce additional information) which appear when you are uploading MS datasets to the database. If you check the 'Save Object Data' box, the MS dataset will be fully saved to the DB:

The 'Retrieval' tab will be used to load layout templates (which will be applied when you paste items or records from the DB to Mnova).

From the Search tab, your can to set different databases to be searched in or add additional fields to be displayed in the 'Hit List':

From the 'Scoring' tab, the user will be able to select the maximum number of hits or records returned by a search, the 'Maximum number of hits per record', or the 'Preselection Threshold' (the minimum number of search hits for preselection dialog to be shown).

You can select the minimum score for Peaks, multiplets or free search hits to be included in the results. If for example you are searching for 3 peaks and Mnova DB finds spectra with 2 of the 3 peaks, then the score will be 666.
